In addition to solo bagpipe playing, I also play in two pipe bands. The MacMillan-Birtles pipe band is a competition band and competes in Highland games on the East Coast. The Washington Scottish pipe band is sponsored by the Washington, D.C., St. Andrew's Society and the American Clan Gregor Society. The Washington Scottish band is a parade and performance band. Below is a video of the MacMillan-Birtles band in competition at the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem, Pa., in 2012, and a video of me playing for a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery.
